Estimated electric/gas costs?

  • Dec. 6th, 2009 at 11:32 AM
I know I've been asking a lot of questions around here recently, and I really appreciate all your help. :) Now, my fiance is looking into townhomes and estimated costs for electricity and all that. (He's an engineer. He NEEDS to know this stuff, lol.) Thing is, we're really unfamiliar with anything up north, including gas heating. In order for him to have a more accurate gauge of our anticipated electricity costs, I wanted to get some personal experiences. So if you could fill this out, that'd be great!

The place where I live:
- has ___ floor(s).
- is ___ square feet.
- uses ___ for heating and cooling.
- costs $___ per month.

Thank you in advance. :)

Give a little to help a lot!

In honor of National AIDS Awareness month, we've added a new charitable vgift. For each red ribbon you purchase for $2.99, we'll donate 100 percent of gross proceeds to IAVI.org (the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) to support the development and global distribution of an affordable HIV vaccine (we'll cover credit card fees). You can read more about IAVI at [info]lj_cares. While we're on the subject, we raised $740 from our November fundraiser for Love Without Boundaries, which supports emergency healthcare and adoption of Chinese orphans. We thank you for helping us help others.

Photos of the week

We're back with more incredible pictures from our super-talented LiveJournal photographers. Congratulations to [info]ilya_gorokhov, who is the winner of our very first [info]lj_photophile poll.

We hope you'll continue to post, vote, and comment! A gentle request: Please post only one photo at a time and limit size to 350x350 (so images display properly on friends pages). And now, without further ado, get ready to cast your ballot and view more awesome user content after the jump!

Room Available

I have to sublease my room at Seven Springs Village in January due to graduating. It is a 2-bedrooom, 1-bathroom apartment shared with a male undergrad. It's a good room with a closet. The apartment itself is pretty quiet and academically focused. The rent is $700 + cable bill split, all other utilities are included in the 700 dollar rent. Free shuttle bus to campus, free parking. Another male undergraduate roommate preferred. Hit me up at 814-932-0070 or jarenlove@gmail.com we can talk about it more there.

Movers?

  • Nov. 26th, 2009 at 12:09 PM
We're probably going to be moving New Year's weekend, and are looking for recommendations for movers - Beltsville-ish to Boonsboro (about 65 miles). Personal references/recommendations would be awesome. :-) We're looking for quality, of course, but price is definitely a consideration.

Any suggestions would be awesome!
